“The role of water and air in daily life through the atmospheric conditions in each school area of partners school”

Climate conditions usually define our behaviour or our way of living. They influence our food habits, our entertainment and our mood. With the word ‘weather’ we mean the ever-changing atmospheric conditions which surround the Earth. The weather conditions are: wind, rain, storms and sunshine.

Our aim/purpose:
Was for pupils to compare the local weather conditions with those conditions in the areas of partners’ schools.

Our Activities:
1. Pupils in all schools answered the same questionnaire
2. They took the weather temperature, the wind speed and direction, the humidity and the air pressure.

Methods:
Pupils used thermometers, wind-meters, barometers and hydrometers.
They took measurements of the four weather parameters during the first week of the first week of November, December and January.

Here the results showed that at the 1st Gymnasio in Kalamaria,Thessaloniki has the lowest humidity, but the air pressure is the highest. This is the reason that there is a lot of fog in Thessaloniki. At St. Paul’s the air pressure is the lowest, but the humidity is the highest among all schools. The lowest temperatures were recorded at the area of Bernhardinum school in Furstenwalde. Finally at Rio Tinto we had average results in all weather conditions.
